Ingle`s Ya! Is a low-level, high-interest, DVD series that provides English language instruction with Spanish bilingual support.
Ingle`s Ya! presents skills in the context of video segments that are based on current popular Spanish- language television programs and traditions. The skills and topics are taught and reinforced through the telenovela, skits, songs, chants, "commercials", and news and weather reports designed for the adult audience.
Each of the 20 lessons includes a chapter from the telenovela. The Engagement (El Noviazgo) where students can follow the adventures of the characters. Workbooks and audio CDs provide additional practice, review, and reinforcement.
Designed to be used sequentially, these segments were carefully reviewed by cultural experts to ensure their suitability, cultural reference and acceptability for a general Latino adult audience.
