Grade levels 6–10
Students use graphic organizers to plan their writing and writing rubrics to evaluate their writing. Organizing methods include: order of importance, chronological, spatial, block arrangement, problem-to-solution, and logical order.
Scaffolded instruction in each lesson guides students to:
- Read and understand an assignment
- Choose an organizing method
- Write a first draft
- Edit and revise the draft
