Through this course you will gain valuable insight into the evolution of adult education; characteristics of adult learners; strategies for student recruitment, orientation, and intake; the role of the program manager as the instructional leader; program management basics; and professional development for you and your staff. You will investigate your local and state adult education agencies' policies and procedures.
Participants will: - Explore the evolution of adult education into the comprehensive and diverse program it is today.
- Recognize the impact that adult learning characteristics play in planning and delivering effective educational services.
- Gain strategies for developing productive student recruitment campaigns and conducting learner-friendly orientation and intake.
- Examine the key elements in providing effective instructional leadership.
